The wingspan of they are reach up to 1.5 meters in length, and are usually found near wetlands, rivers, lakes, or other bodies of water where they feed on fish, amphibians, reptiles and insects. During breeding season they build nests in trees or on cliffs which can be up to two meters wide. Black Storks migrate south during winter months but will return north when spring arrives. These birds are considered an endangered species due to habitat destruction and hunting for their feathers which were once used for decoration purposes.
