Ostriches Collection

Ostriches are the largest living bird species in the world and can weigh up to 150 kg and stand up to 2.7 m tall. They have long necks, small heads, and two-toed feet with powerful claws that help them run at speeds of up to 70 km/h. They live in dry areas of Africa, where they feed on plants, insects, lizards and other small animals. They use their wings for balance when running and for shade from the sun during hot days. Their feathers are black or grey with white patches on their wings and tail feathers that give them a unique look. They lay large eggs which are incubated by both parents for about 42 days before hatching into chicks that will stay with their parents until they reach adulthood at around two years old.
