Green Ibis Collection

Green Ibises are a species of wading bird in the family Threskiornithidae, and are found in tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina, medium-sized bird with an overall greenish-black plumage, long legs and a long curved bill and has red eyes and yellow facial skin. The male is larger than the female and has longer tail feathers. Its diet consists mainly of insects, frogs, crustaceans, fish and small reptiles. It nests in trees near water sources such as swamps or rivers where they can find food easily.
