Lao-Tse presenting the child Confucius to Sakyamuni (Buddha).Lao-tse was a philosopher of Ancient China and the founder of philosophical Taoism. He is believed to have lived in the 6th century BC.The philosopher Confucius was born c 550 BC and died in 487 BC. Several meetings are believed to have taken place between Confucius and Lao-tse.
