LFCDA-LFB Heavy fire Rescue tenders

The 1990s saw a new breed of fire rescue tenders, large and small, introduced into the London Fire Brigade. The heavy rescue unit carried a comprehensive range of cutting and spreading equipment, a larger crew, breathing apparatus and chemical protection suits. The light unit, whilst having lifting and spreading equipment, did not have the same scoop of equipment and carried a smaller crew. An aerial view of Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta, October 21, 2011. Jakarta is a classed as a megacity, those with a population of over 10 million people. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs said in a March 2010 report that by 2025, there will be 29 megacities globally from 21 two years ago, with the majority in developing countries. HMS St Albans Hands Over to HMS Argyle in the Middle East

Royal Navy Type 23 frigate HMS St Albans (right), hands over responsibilities to HMS Argyll (left) in the Middle East following her successful deployment to the area.
HMS ST Albans handed over responsibilities of her current operation in the Middle East to HMS Argyll. The ships carried out stores transfers and personnel transfers to ensure that relevant material and information could be passed on. On completion the ships conducted a traditional sail past with makeshift missiles thrown and hoses shooting at each other in the hot temperatures.
HMS ST Albans continued arrived home to the UK in December.
