Portable analogue and digital radios

Analogue radio which receives broadcasts in the AM (amplitude moderated) short (SW) medium (MW) and long (LW) wave bands together with the FM (frequency modulated) wave-band. The digital radio uses the DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) system which can offer many more stations than FM because digital signals take up less space on the air waves. May be superseded by DAB+ introduced in 2007
