The Diwan-i-Am, or Hall of Public Audiences, in the Lal Quila or Red Fort in Delhi, India, circa 1900. The fort was built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan between 1638 and 1648. London: Pakistani-born student leader Tariq Ali stands a top pillar-box near the Pakistan High Commission in Lowndes Square, London, This afternoon, to make a speech, when some 500 Pakistanis marched from hyde park to the building to protest the martial law prevailing in their country. The marchers chanted "Down With Geneal Yahya Khan," The new Presiident of Pakistan who intoduced martial law in Pakistan 12 days ago. A few scuffles broke out between police and the demonstrators.
