Human anatomy
Human anatomy. Man with his limbs in two poses, overlaid with an artwork of his internal organs and blood vessels. The heart is seen in the centre of his upper chest, and from it extends the network of blood vessels that supply the body with oxygen. Other organs seen include the stomach (below heart at centre right) and part of the colon (large intestine, below stomach). The poses and the framing devices of a circle and square are based on drawings by the Italian scientist and artist Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519)

The Yucatan Penisula is a huge limestone platform where water runs through an underground cave system. Part of the land has collapsed, creating sinkholes called Cenotes, which gives access to the underground system.
