Sea trip by rail, Brighton electric railway
A sea trip by rail, the electric railway between Brighton and Rottingdean. The line was constructed along the seashore eastwards of Brighton from the Paston Jetty, for a distance of four miles. The experimental trip on the railway was successfully performed in thirty five minutes

Advertisement for Castrol oil with illustration of a Rover car beating the Blue Train over the distance between St. Raphael to Calais, averaging 38 miles per hour, all thanks to the lubrication of Castrol oil. Date: 15th March 1930

Frame work of the viaduct
Frame work of Coopers Bridge, near Greenwich. The designers, Mr Grissell and Mr Petolent lent inspiration from similar American structures. The main body of the viaduct is constructed from timber, which was treated with anti dry rot, pateneted by Payne's. The viaduct was opened for use on the 8th May 1844
