Mauritius - Pamplemousses Botanical Garden (now Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden) - Basin Farquar, named in honour of the first British Governor, Robert Farquhar, who brought about an entente cordiale between the French former colonists and troops and British officials. The oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Date: circa 1905
